Knoxville Opera: Puccini’s La Bohème

Live, full-length opera performed in Italian with projected English translations. The Romance of Bohemian Life… Two Passionate Love Affairs… One Heartbreaking Death! In the glittering Latin Quarter on Christmas Eve, Mimì and Rodolfo fall in love, but her failing health and his abject poverty threaten their happiness.  Puccini’s ravishing music brilliantly depicts the joie de vivre and heartbreaks of the struggling Bohemian artists.  For over a century, La Bohème has influenced pop culture from musicals and pop songs, to commercials and movies. Opera previews hosted by Maestro Salesky begin 45 minutes prior to each performance. All students are invited to take photos with the cast on the set after the final curtain.

Advance reservations required? NO – tickets given out as available until 2:00 PM on the day of the performance.
