Arts Build Communities Grants

The Arts Build Communities (ABC) grant program was created by the Tennessee Arts Commission to create a decentralized decision-making and distribution process for allocated grant funds. The program aims to build communities by nurturing artists, arts organizations and agencies, and arts supporters in each of Tennessee’s 95 counties.

**The upcoming application deadline is: Friday, August 29, 2008**

The Arts and Culture Alliance serves as a designated agency for administering ABC grants. In the past year, the Alliance has administered more than $65,000 in funding for 36 ABC projects.

The Alliance administers grant applications from the following counties: Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Knox, Loudon, Monroe, Morgan, Roane, Scott, Sevier, and Union. Organizations from other counties wishing to apply for ABC grants should consult the TAC website for information on the designated agency for their county.

ABC grants are not awarded to individuals. An ABC grant may be awarded to a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization or to a government entity (such as schools, public libraries, parks and recreation department, etc.). For a complete description of eligibility requirements and an application, click here.
