Meet and Greet the City Council Candidates
Arts & Culture Alliance Collection: Exhibit and Auction Detail from "Chevalier Surrealistic" by Salvador Dali A silent auction, where bids are accepted in writing, will take place during the First Friday opening reception on September 7. Bids will be accepted from 5-8 pm, and the highest bidder will be able to take the piece home that evening provided they are onsite at the close of the auction. Many pieces will be sold on a “no reserve” basis, and bids start at $1. The Alliance Collection exhibit and auction includes oils, photography, acrylic, mixed media, and more, as well as a select number of framed ArtFest posters. Pieces remaining for sale will be on exhibit through September 28.
Detail from "Flamingos" by Georgia Bailey The opening reception for the exhibit on Friday, September 7, from 5-9 pm, is free and open to the public, and complimentary hors d’oeuvres are served. The Emporium Center is located at 100 S. Gay Street in downtown Knoxville. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday 9-5.
