Call for Entries: Arts & Culture Alliance National Juried Exhibition of 2010

(08/11/2010/Knoxville) – The Arts & Culture Alliance of Greater Knoxville announces a call for entries for its National Juried Exhibition of 2010.  The National Juried Exhibition was developed to provide a forum for artists to compete on a national scale and display their work.  Approximately 40-50 traditional and non-traditional works will comprise the exhibition in the main gallery of the Emporium Center in downtown Knoxville from December 13, 2010 - January 26, 2011.  The deadline for entries to be postmarked is Saturday, September 25, 2010.

The call for entries is open to all artists.  Entries must be original works completed within the last two years in the following categories: Painting, Graphic Arts, 3-D, and Photography.  The nonrefundable entry fee is $40 for up to three works ($25 for Arts & Culture Alliance members). Up to three additional entries may be submitted for $7/each ($5 for members).  Download a prospectus and application at www.knoxalliance.com (under Calls & Press Releases), or send an SASE to Suzanne Cada, Arts & Culture Alliance, PO Box 2506, Knoxville, TN 37901.  Juror: Susan Shockley, Curator at the Parthenon Museum in Nashville, TN.  Prizes include $1,000 in cash awards as well as future exhibition opportunities.

The Arts & Culture Alliance’s Juried Exhibition of 2009 featured the work of 46 artists in Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, Ohio, and North Carolina.
