The Student Ticket Subsidy (STS) program was created by the Tennessee Arts Commission and provides 100% of the ticket cost and transportation for students to attend approved arts and cultural events in the region. The Arts & Culture Alliance serves as a designated agency to administer STS in East Tennessee. More than 33,000 students from nearly 100 schools are introduced to arts and cultural opportunities throughout our region each school year. These opportunities should be available to as many children as possible, regardless of their economic or social status, and include symphony concerts, theatrical performances, museum and gallery exhibitions, and more!

The next beginning application date is Wednesday, September 15, 2010, at 7:00 AM.

Funds are available through the Alliance for students in the following counties: Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Knox, Loudon, Monroe, Morgan, Roane, Scott, Sevier, and Union. Funds are distributed on a per capita basis. Please limit requests to one per teacher (unless a teacher has more than one class). The catalog of approved events, guidelines, and application forms can be found on the TAC web site at www.arts.state.tn.us/community_arts_sts.htm. Funds are allocated on a first come, first served basis with considerations for number of students served and free and reduced lunch ratios.
