Knoxville and Knox County offer close to 5,600 acres of parks and recreation space, including fourteen greenways and walking trails, 103 tennis courts, 27 recreation centers and 144 playgrounds and parks.

Beautiful views of the scenic Smoky Mountains are available at this 500-acre park that climbs 1,000 feet in elevation to Knox County's highest point and reaches 2,100 feet above the sea level. There are three miles of hiking trails on site that normally take two to four hours to hike.

National Parks and Recreation

Knoxville is blessed by breathtaking scenery and an abundance of recreational opportunities.  The city is within 90 minutes of six National Park service sites.
