The Tennessee Stage Company presents its 26th Anniversary summer Shakespeare Festival, featuring the comedy Merry Wives of Windsor and the tragedy King Lear, rotated nightly outdoors on Market Square. Productions are performed on a rough replica of the new Globe Theatre in London (a reconstruction of Shakespeare’s original theater) and are presented in the timeless style of Elizabethan theatrical presentations. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair. Donations appreciated!
