Knoxville Symphony Orchestra: An American in Paris
Part of the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra’s Moxley Carmichael Masterworks Series, which marks the KSO’s 83rd season.
The season concludes with a program of works written with the intent of transporting the listener to another time and place. A performance of Joaquín Rodrigo’s Concierto de aranjuez features Jason Vieaux, Grammy award-winning guitarist. Vieaux’s artistic mastery and passion for education has made him a pioneer in the classical guitar world. The program also includes Michael Schachter’s Five – Six – Seven – Eight, a piece dedicated to dance, and Ravel’s Rapsodie espagnole. The evening concludes with George Gershwin’s An American in Paris.

Advance reservations required? YES – must redeem by visiting or calling the KSO Box Office prior to the day of the concert (M-F 9-5). This offer is not available through web sales or for walk up sales at the venue the afternoon or evening of the concert.
