Oak Ridge Chamber Music Series: Concertmaster & Friends with Karen Kartal & Jeff Midkiff

Oak Ridge Symphony Orchestra Concertmaster Karen Kartal gathers with friends in this gypsy-themed concert featuring music by Haydn and Brahms, and culminating in a grand collaboration with special guest Jeff Midkiff performing his Quintet No. 2 for Mandolin and Strings (“Gypsy”).

Youth Interest: Contrast of bowed and plucked string instruments: violin, viola, cello, piano, mandolin. Gypsy theme. Music by Haydn, Brahms and Midkiff.

A brief, pre-concert talk begins at 7:00 PM. Adult $25. Young Adult (19-29) $10. Admission is free for Youth 18 and under. Free admission for chaperones of youth groups of 5 or more. Chaperones must call or email to reserve by 3:00 PM on the Thursday prior to the concert. Tickets available at the door, by phone or online.
