Circle Modern Dance: Modern Dance Primitive Light 2021

Circle Modern Dance continues its annual holiday tradition of Modern Dance Primitive Light, a Winter Solstice performance of dance and live music! Modern Dance Primitive Light features performance art by area choreographers, dancers, and musicians. Each performance showcases live music, directed and scored by Klay Brooks. The performances include choreography & improvised work from past and current Circle Modern Dance core members, including Nate Barrett, Meg Beach, and Kimberly Matibag. Also included are work from local guest artists Momentum Dance Lab, belly dance group Zaniyah, and swing dancers Kelly Arsenault & Mickey Fortanasce.

Attendees can join the “Pay What You Wish” Dress Rehearsal on Wednesday, December 15 at 7:00 PM or performances on Thursday, December 16 at 8:00 PM and Friday, December 17 at 7:00 PM & 9:00 PM. Tickets are $15 in advance on Eventbrite and $20 at the door with a $5 discount for students, seniors, and military service members. Modern Dance Primitive Light is a show for all ages and participates in the Penny4Arts program, allowing children to attend for one penny when accompanied by an adult.
