It is time to celebrate National Chemistry Week 2024! The American Chemical Society (ACS) encourages members and science enthusiasts to build awareness of chemistry at the local level. ACS local sections, schools, businesses, and individuals are invited to organize or participate in events in their communities with a common goal: to promote the value of chemistry in our everyday life. This year, the theme is “PICTURE PERFECT CHEMISTRY”, and several online resources are available at www.acs.org/ncw.

Locally, celebrate the week with Dr. Al Hazari’s 34th annual presentation. Kids ages 2 to 102 years are invited to attend this free event! For questions, contact Dr. Hazari at ahazari@utk.edu. Free parking is available in the UTK Parking Garage (White Avenue and 11th Street) from 6:30 to 9:00 pm.
