Knox County Public Library: Drawing Workshop with Jerry Craft
Tue Sep 12, 12:30-2:30 PM
East Tennessee History Center, 601 S Gay St, Knoxville, TN 37902
Join award-winning cartoonist, Jerry Craft, for a workshop on how to draw comics and write graphic novels. Craft is the author-illustrator of the #1 New York Times best selling graphic novels New Kid and Class Act. New Kid was the first book in history to win the Newbery Medal, the Coretta Scott King Author Award, and the Kirkus Prize for Young Readers’ Literature. In his latest book, School Trip, Craft shares his love of travel to inspire kids to see the world and embrace new cultures. We are pleased to partner with UT-Knoxville’s Center for Children’s and Young Adult Literature, and the Theory and Practice in Teacher Education at the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences and the Friends of the Library to make this event possible.
