Knoxville Children’s Theatre, in partnership with the Clayton Foundation will present a live production of “The Scarlet Letter.” The play is based on the famous novel by Nathaniel Hawthorne. This production brings the story to life on stage for teens so they appreciate and better understand the writing of Nathaniel Hawthorne.

The play will be performed October 29 – November 14, Thursdays and Fridays at 7 PM, Saturdays at 1 PM and 5 PM, and Sundays at 3 PM.

We continue to use Ionopure air sanitizers throughout the theatre.

Hester Prynne has committed an inexcusable crime and has confounded her prosecutors by refusing to name her partner in sin. But the man who allows her to protect him suffers more from pangs of conscience than he would have from public humiliation. The climax shows the timeless truth that compassion and understanding are forever more powerful than vengeance and cruelty. The play is performed by twenty talented young actors from ages 10 to 18.

You may reserve a Penny for the Arts ticket by calling the theatre at 865-208-3677 x 1 or by emailing info@knoxvillechildrenstheatre.com.
