You won’t want to miss the excitement and brilliance of the opening chamber music concert of the season! Outstanding solo clarinetist Nickolas Hamblin – who performed Aaron Copland’s Concerto on Maestro Stabilito’s audition concert – returns with his Trio Matisse to perform virtuosic music by Mozart, Bruch, Liebermann, and Stölzel. As a trio, Hamblin and colleagues Benjamin Penzner, violist, and Ariya Laothitipong, pianist, are known across the nation for their evocative performances. Named after the eclectic French artist Henri Matisse, Trio Matisse was formed in 2021, and in their first year as an ensemble received grand prizes in the Dale and Nancy Briggs, New York International Young Musician’s, and Charleston Chamber Music Competitions. Get your tickets soon to hear the excitement and brilliance of this award-winning chamber music ensemble! Tickets are required and may be obtained online or at the Box Office.
