UT Society of Women Engineers: Tomorrow’s Engineers Today
UT Society of Women Engineers: Tomorrow’s Engineers Today
Sat Nov 16, 10 AM – 4 PM
Zeanah Engineering Complex, 863 Neyland Drive
This annual outreach event encourages young female students (grades 6-12) interested in STEM fields. We perform fun science experiments that demonstrate different engineering disciplines, and we have demonstrations of some cool engineering opportunities here at UTK that included in the past tours of our 3D printing lab, a robotics demonstration by our world champion robotics team, and more! In years past, we have had 100+ girls on our campus learn what it is like to be an engineer at UTK! The cost for this event is $7 per student and includes lunch and a T-shirt when you register earlybird. Free parent tickets are also available (lunch not included). The parent session will have an in-person and online option, and will include a Q&A panel as well as a tour of the engineering facilities.
Advanced reservations required: YES – register by Sat Nov 9 at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/tomorrows-engineers-today-fall-2024-tickets-951917469777
