The Arts & Culture Alliance is a nonprofit service organization, incorporated in Tennessee (federal tax identification number: 62-0962249).

Greater Knoxville’s GRACE Fund was created by the Arts & Culture Alliance as a confidential resource for local arts and culture workers who are facing financial emergencies and are in critical need of assistance to stay in their homes.

All GRACE donations are 100% tax deductible and usually come from organizations and artists in the local arts and culture community who want to express their gratitude and support to their fellow artists, historians, and administrators in their time of need. All donations will be distributed to qualified applicants and may not be designated for a specific person.

GRACE funds may be awarded to help artists working in literary arts, craft arts, folk and traditional arts, 2-D and 3-D work of all media, installation art, public art, film/video arts, and performing arts (including music, dance, theater, puppetry, performance art). Those artists specializing in architecture, caricature, the design arts, personal service art (such as tattoo, hair, and nail art), and the culinary arts are not eligible for GRACE funds at this time.

Any individual resident of Greater Knoxville who has worked at least two of the last five years (professionally or vocationally) in the local arts and culture community OR who has been an active participant in the local arts and culture community, regardless of the income derived from work in the arts and culture field, is eligible to apply for up to $2,000 at one time from the program.
